If you are staying in Bergamo and travel by train for a trip to Milan you must get your ticket stamped at a machine before you go to the platform I did not no this and when the inspector got on the train we had to pay a fine of 30 Euros as there were three of us on the one ticket we were lucky because if we had purchased three tickets we would have had to pay the full amount each.
I think the Inspector felt sorry for us when he seen the shock on our faces .
We laugh about it now .

Ciao,

I'm hoping to visit a few Italian cities some time soon as I have a few Italian friends. I was in Milan in Oct 2006 visiting a friend, although I wasn't too keen on it. I felt it was just an industrial city and nothing to see really. I think Rome is next on my list, a city I have always wanted to visit.

i have been to venice which i loved , also rome which is just as wonderful , this summer were going to tuscany near pisa and florence i cant wait!

Hi Marycamilla, have'nt been to venice yet, but my daughter has , and loved it! I'm going to a small place on the umbria- Lazio border in 10 days time, can barely wait, went to Le- Marche last year, Corinaldo,still think about it now, what a beautiful area!!

Just back from the beautiful Venice ,have also been in milan as my son lives there .I have also been to lake Como & went in the cable car.Scarey
