I went to Benidorm at Christmas a good few years ago, in fact it was the last time I went there! had a really good time. The weather was not so good around the 50's at worst 60's at best. There was a lot of cabaret style entertainment and comedians on, which were fantastic some of the best I ever seen. I remember "Roy Chubby Brown" pinching my pizza outside after his show had ended and then posing for photo's with my friends..I was one the taking the pics, so I never got a pic with him(too many bacardi n cokes!) I think we went self catering in a hotel and ate out, plenty of dinners available in the town. A lot of places were open for entertainment Xmas day for a couple of hours or if you booked your meal you could be there for a 'private party' kind of thing. Anything will be better than staying at home...but you will enjoy it at Xams time, the decorations are really nice along the streets as well.

Benidorm is perfect at Christmas. You get Christmas, New year and Three Kings if you stay until Jan 6th - 3 celebrations in one holiday. Plus you get to go to the beach on xmas day too. This photo was taken on Christmas day on the levante beach.

never been a xmas but been many times for new year you must stay in a hotel gala dinner etc stayed in different hotels
all been exellent loads to drink up to 8 course small portions but more than enough and the staff serve you , you get 2 new years spanish then english 1 hr later
at the spanish one you have to eat a grape every time the clock strikes for good luck takes a bit of doing if you can swop your grapes with the spanish they get the small ones the look at his / her face when the open them and find BIG grapes oops, then when you go out to the bars after , most of them dont charge for drinks for that hour and we have never seen a fight to the bar like you would at home
