Depends on the destination... but here are my top 5...

1.....sitting in a high up place looking over the place you are visiting... could be a roof top cafe or the sumit of a mountain...

2...sitting in a local cafe or bar (chains you would find in the UK do not count)

3...going exploring - just wondering around seeing what can be found...can stumble across all sorts...

4...strangely... getting there/returning home... whether it be by bus (28s to get to spain!), plane of ferry...but their is something in the anticaption of the holiday on the way there that you cant beat... and the reflective, tiring jounrey, when your bed and home seem so appealing...yet far away...

5...looking for pressies to get for people back at home...

However... if it is a beach based holiday... my ultimate favourite thing is building a sandcastle...Check out my photos for some biggens!

Never use the hotel pool for hygiene reasons allways the Sea. I like going out for dinner each night

Getting on the official Tour Bus. Most cities have one and it is the best way of seeingt he main attractions and to get a feel of the place.

Hit the family bars when with the kids...exploring off the beaten track places.....dolphin shows, boat trips, anything apart form sitting by a pool all day.
