Theme parks and waterparks near Benidorm

Has anyone been to the various theme parks near Benidorm?
I always say I'll go to one when I get to Benidorm but never make it as the beach is sooooo tempting but this time I have promised myself I will do atleast one of them. I just don't know which would be best so wanted to know if anyone has been and can help me decide

Aqualandia: is the water park really family focused or are me and my boyfriend going to enjoy it?
Mundomar: is it just dolphins or are there other animals?
Terra Mitica: is it as good as Portaventura in Salou? Are the queues ridiculously long?

And I hear the Benidorm Palace is pretty spectacular - does anyone know if it is pricey?

Aqualandia : It is family focused but is great for couples too. There are plenty of places to relax and sunbath away from the crowds and kids. The actual water rides and pools are large enough to accommodate everyone. TIP: You have to pay for sunbeds and giant rubber rings which add to the cost. Advice is go late afternoon when the admission price is reduced. All day Adult pass 25€

Mundomar: Yes loads of other animals to see allow 4 hours to see everything. Adults 21€ All day pass Entrance

Terra Mitica: Never gets that busy even in August so queues are pretty short even for the popular rides. Best time to go is late afternoon as it is cheaper after 4pm only 21€ this year saving 13€ each.

Benidorm Palace: If do just one thing see the show at the Benidorm Palace this year the price is 44€ for the 5 course dinner and show or 53€ for the Gran Palace menu. This includes wine and Cava. Excellent value and a great "Las vegas style" show. You can just see the show but to be honest it is worth going for the whole thing and having the dinner too. Drink prices are not high at the bar either standard show prices.

TOP TIP: Look out for offers on leaflets in all hotels and also at burger chains for theme parks.

My boyfriend and I went to Aqualandia and its good, plenty slides like not just for families. We also went to Terra Mitica and it's a great park. The wooden roller coaster is not a good idea tho, we were in the que for an hour and half and it was actually painful, not a good idea. We really enjoyed Benidorm Palace and it's not expensive. The show was excellent. We did not eat there but the food looked pretty good.. Going to Salou in 4 weeks so if you have been please share any tips and advice..

I have been to both Terra Mitica and Portaventura. They are both very similar, although, I prefer Portaventura. Next to Terra Mitica is another park called Terra Natura. It is an animal park and water park combined. You can choose to go to either or both. I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Terra Natura.

The water park was good and you could swim with sharks. You can also have a zip-ride over the elephant enclosure in the animal park. (both in-expensive)

You would need 2 seperate days to visit Terra Mitica and Terra Natura.

Have fun!!

I have been to Benidorm on numerous occasions with the family, but a word of warning, the first time i went was in September 1980, Where a met someone "a holiday romance, a bit of a laugh" It never works out they said! next March it is our 25th wedding anniversery (I don't say silver wedding it makes me feel old at 47), you will have a great time as you can see we've been going for 28 years and still enjoy it as there's something for every generation any body who say it's like Blackpool should be taken outside and shoot at dawn.
