Sharm el Sheikh

If anyone wants any info re. Sharm el Sheik just let me know. I will be going again in 13 weeks and this will be my 14th visit. I have stayed in over 20 hotels in Sharm, and my special topic of conversation is Sarm and the underwater world.

Hello Diane,
can i ask you the name of one "economic" but at the same time very good hotel with All Inclusive System?

Hi Roberto, when do you want to go and what sort of budget do you have per person, you may have a nice suprise at the hotel prices, it is the flights that cost. What do you want to do when you get there, just chill, dive, go on excursions, Let me know then I will say which hotels will be good.
All the best, Diane

Thank you so much Diane. I'd like to know a good hotel to pass holiday in relax and maybe some excursion at the pyramids.I don't know if Sharm is nearly but if i'll go in Egypt this's a must:)
Best greetings

Hi Roberto, Trips to the Pyramids are easy to organise, you can either fly or go on a bus. Cairo is a long way from Sharm and the bus journey takes about 6 hours! You can also fly, this costs a lot more money, but is a lot better than the bus trip.
My favourite hotel is the Melia Sinai, It is a small hotel with a great Dive school, 2 pools and a lovely beach. To get into the sea you have to walk along a jetty so you don't damage the coral. Hope this helps, Let me know what else you would like to know.

Which is your favourite hotel to stay in?

So many, but my most favourite hotel is The Melia Sinai. It is the first 5* Hotel designed for divers and their families. It is a small hotel in a fantastic setting and the Coral Reef is spectacular. I also love Sunrise Island View, The Hyatt Regency and The Savoy.

Hi Edna, Yes, We did a 4 night cruise from Luxor to Aswan a few years ago, it was wonderful, but be prepared for very early morning starts! It is best to visit the sights early morning before the sun gets too hot, but it is pretty sureal being in the Valley of the Kings at 6.00am in temperatures in the 30s. I had many emotional moments visiting the tombs of people long dead and just soaking up the history. The boats come in various degrees of luxuary, and are truly stunning. We seemed to eat a lot - they are always feeding you! After our cruise we went to Sharm for 10 days, think we went on 9 planes during that holiday - What an adventure!
Let me know if you have any other questions,

What is the the diving like in Sharm el Sheikh?

Hi Sian, where have you been diving before? The diving in Sharm is spectacular, as is the snorkeling. Depending on which hotel you use - some are on the beach so have direct access to the house reef via a floating jetty, others built on the mountain side of the beach will bus you to their beach. Then there are all the boat trips, there are over 220 boats in Sharm!
Non-swimmers can view the fish simply by walking along the jetty and looking down, the brightly colourd fish are everywhere and swim over the coral plate. Glass bottom boats are another way to view the reef and fish and there are even snorkeling trips for non swimmers. Just about all the hotels have dive schools attatched to them, the instructors all speak about a million languages so there is no problem there.
Ask me any specifics if you need further info,
All the Best, Diane
PS, So excited - only 10 weeks and 3 days to go and I will be in my beloved Sharm again!

Well i'm saving up at the moment so nothing booked so far. I have always wanted to go diving in Shalm it seems like it would be an amazing experience. I have diving on holidays mostly in Landazrote which was off the beach. I have never done diving off a boat before which I would love to try. I really want to see the reef . Have you ever been? Where and when?
