I expect that you would be bothed by mozzies. You should get a lemon, they are cheap or you can find them around the hotel. Cut the lemon in half and place half on either side of your bed. This will keep them away at night. If you are bitten, treat the bite with toothpaste (white toothpaste, not gel). Crete is great.

We went to Crete for the first two weeks in June and got bitten, along with our friends - one of whom had to visit her GP for medication when she got back as the bites were infected.
We bought one of those plug in things where you put a new tablet in each night and surprisingly it really did the trick!
Have a wonderful holiday, it's a beautiful island.

Thanks for the info. Still looking forward to getting away from the English weather. Its about 15 years ago since we went to Crete. I will have to battle against the mozzies, I have got all the medication, sprays etc.

Have not stayed at the Stork apts but the mozzies are nasty in Stallis.
I was badly bitten, the mosquitos are more active at night so use the anti mozzie spray on any uncovered skin when you go out in the evening.

hi malcolm we stayed in stalis in hotel anastasia beginning of september a few years back didn't see a single mozz all the time we were there and no-one we met mentioned seeing any either , hope this helps, have a wonderful time,we love crete.
