Where to in Majorca

Hi,

I fancy taking the Mrs to Majorca in September since it's some where I've never been.
Any reccomendations for some where close to the beach?

Just had a thought, you can have a look at www.pollensapines.com, you can book a lovely pine walk apartment from them and get your flights elsewhere, also try www.sunmaster.co.uk where you can book everything including transfers to puerto pollensa, Ive stayed in lots of apartments and villas over the years and could recommend quite a few, def the best place to take your wife id say. happy holidays

Hello , my first post...Can Pastilla is nice...loads of hotels ...cross the road to beach...miles of it mostly empty...and 5 minutes from the airport....

Hi Spilly,First post for me to.I would also recommend Puerto Pollenca.Good beach, eating places with lots of places to just sit and people watch as you enjoy a coffee or cool beer-Also agree with Sandra that pine walk is a great place to stay if you can find an apartment in that area-

Well it's all got more complicated as my in laws want to come now!

We have had to try & fit everyones taste in and have decided on Cala D'or as a base.
We found Es Ravell apartments here on Alpharooms and that's were we are headed!

Hi Spilly - I booked 3 weeks ago & travel on Tuesday 26th for 10 nights with my wife & 2 mid teen kids.
We stayed in Cala d'or in May 2001 with our young kids & friends at Club Marthas complex ( Cala Egos) this is a small suburb of Cala d'or. There are 3 seperate resorts with in "CM" all having use of the excellent facilities, Es Ravells is also part of "CM", but is actually in the town centre of Cala d'or itself.
When we stayed previously, one of our friends had stayed on Majorca 6 times previous, so we spent a lot of time driving & touring the whole island, which was great & plan to do a little more this time too. But, we didn't really get to use all the benefits of this fantastic resort until the day before our return home.
So, for this return it was an easy choice to make as we want basically a quiet one away to relax & re-charge batteries. Still plenty to be occupied with at resort if you choose, 4 superb pools including 1 indoor! Immaculately clean lovely apartments all renovated this year, great free entertainment & hard to beat pizzeria on site. You can stay on site to eat if you choose or wonder around the corner to restuarants & bars, there is also a smallish clean & tidy bay either end of the Cala Egos main street effectively, approx 300 mtrs in either direction.
Between "CM" & Cala d'or is the lovely marina with more eating/drinking establishments, around a 10 minute walk & if you want a wider choice, walk 10 minutes more into Cala d'or town.
We can highly recommend from 7 years ago & can't wait to get there next week.
